About

I have over 15 years of experience helping individuals overcome barriers and reach their highest potential through therapy and coaching.  Over the years, I have worked in various outpatient, residential, and private practice settings providing individual, family, and group therapy and psychological testing.  Through my experiences, I have developed a passion for working with high-functioning adults who struggle with people-pleasing, perfectionism, and feelings of low self-worth, often (not always) stemming from unresolved childhood trauma and high-functioning depression, anxiety, or PTSD.

I use a collaborative approach with my clients, which includes mindfulness, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and somatic therapies.  It is helpful to help clients become more aware of their conscious and subconscious patterns to re-wire their thinking to be more aligned with what they truly want in life.  As Carl Jung says, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate.”

My innate compassion for collective wellness fuels my motivation for this line of work by helping individuals to heal and thrive.  When we take the time to care for ourselves, we can better care for others around us and spread goodness worldwide.  Therefore, self-care is not an option, but it is necessary for our survival.

I received my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Therapy from Richmont Graduate University and a B.S. in Community Health Education/Healthcare Management from Clark Atlanta University, both in Atlanta, Georgia.  I am licensed as a professional counselor in Texas (LPC # 75380).

Outside of work, I enjoy practicing self-care, mindfulness meditation, yoga, and journaling.  In addition, I love to spend leisure time with my loved ones, curling up with a good Netflix series, hip-hop step classes, and travel.
